1. Introduction & General TermsOulton and Woodlesford Neighbourhood Forum (OAWNF) is committed to protecting your personal information when you are using OAWNF services or participating in the Forum. We want our services to be safe and enjoyable environments for our members and users. This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information you provide to us via our websites, phone, text, email, online or in letters, or any other correspondence.
In order to provide you with the full range of OAWNF services, we sometimes need to collect information about you, and where you are a member we will need to collect personal data to facilitate your membership.

2. What information will OAWNF collect about me?
When you participate in, access or sign up to any of OAWNF’s services, events, activities or online content (such as newsletters, competitions, live chats, message boards, votes), telephone, text, donate money to an OAWNF charity appeal, book an OAWNF event or use OAWNF’s online registration system we may receive personal information about you.
This can consist of information such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone and mobile number, depending on the activity. Sometimes we will require you to provide additional personal information, and sometimes sensitive personal information.
By submitting your details, you enable OAWNF (and where applicable its contractors) and our chosen agents to provide you with the services or online content you select.

OAWNF will use your personal information for a number of purposes including the following:
- to provide our services, events, activities or online content and to deal with your requests and enquiries

4. When will OAWNF contact me?
OAWNF may contact you:
- in relation to any service, event, activity or online content you have signed up

5. Will OAWNF share my personal information with anyone else?
We will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies) or as described in section 6 below.
Generally, we will only use your information within OAWNF. However, sometimes OAWNF uses third parties, including our chosen agents, to process your information on our behalf. OAWNF requires these third parties to comply strictly with its instructions and OAWNF requires that they do not use your personal information for their own business purposes.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

6. Offensive or inappropriate content on OAWNF websites
If you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to OAWNF websites or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on any OAWNF service, OAWNF may use your personal information to stop such behaviour.
Where OAWNF reasonably believes that you are or may be in breach of any applicable laws (e.g. because content you have posted may be defamatory), OAWNF may use your personal information to inform relevant third parties such as your employer, Internet provider or law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.
7. What if I am a user aged 18 or under?
If you are aged 17 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission before you provide any personal information to OAWNF. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
8. How long will OAWNF keep my personal information?
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant service, event or activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you agreed with OAWNF, or according to OAWNF's retention schedule. If you cancel your registration your account is deleted a red flag goes against any remaining personal information which stays on the system for up to a period of one year for administration purposes before being deleted.
If you register for a service, event or activity we will retain your details until all obligations under the contract have been discharged and for a minimum of four months following that date for administration purposes before being deleted during a period of up to one year.
Where you contribute material to OAWNF we will generally only keep your content for as long as is reasonably required for the purpose(s) for which it was submitted. For example, we will only keep copies of entries to an event for the duration of the event. However other information (e.g. posts to blogs or other websites) are likely to have a longer, or even permanent, duration.
